Halloween sale!

Just wanted to let you know. In honor of the rotten economy, and my favorite holiday, there's going to be a sale this Halloween. Details later -- Lulu just raised their prices on me (though I have no plans on raising the prices of my books in response), so I need to see how far I can drop the price.

Anyhow, the plan is for a one-day sale, October 31st, from midnight to midnight (Eastern Time).

Spite will obviously not be out by then, but when Spite drops, it will also be on sale for the first couple of days (after which it will go back to whatever the cover price is). So if you've already got all the books, fear not, Spite will be discounted enough to (hopefully) make it worth your while.

Wow so if Dire is out I will be able to pick up Dire, Crux and Pent all discounted. Would have paid full price for them but will be more than happy to take you up on your generous offer, nice gesture

Actually, since Dire's not really my book (it's Enrique's), I can't promise a discount on that one. I'm not sure if it will even be offered through my Lulu store -- that's up to Enrique. And I'm actually unable to discount Crux, because it's sold at-cost (so Lulu won't let me drop the price any lower, since it's not bringing any profits in as is).

Sorry about the confusion! But you will definitely get Pent on the cheap.

The sale starts now! Since the economy hasn't improved, and becuase Lulu decided to raise their costs, I've perversely decided to kick it up to a 20% off sale. Dread is now $19.96, the hardcover edition is now $31.16, and Pent is $10.36. Note that the actual prices of these books hasn't changed any -- I'm not going to raise prices just because Lulu raised the costs. I'll just make less profit on each book sold. Not a huge deal.

Anyhow, the sale is in effect until midnight on Halloween (EST), so act now!

Just for a laugh I tried to order another hardcover. I had a choice of either £65 or £69 depending on whether I wanted express shipping or not. Frankly that is nuts. The book is only £18 I then get charged 3 times that for shipping. Boy am I glad I ordered Dread before these ludicrous price hikes.

Sadly things like this could really damage peoples chances of selling books as no matter how much I wanted a book I couldn't justify that kind of price.
